Chief's Place Forum Rules

Use of our forum is free and we want users to participate as much as possible. Free does not, however, indicate that users may do anything they wish. Therefore, we are posting the following rules. By using our forum, you agree to abide by these rules or forfeit your membership.

Family Atmosphere - Our forum is to remain a 'G Rated' forum. By this, we mean users should conduct themselves in a way that is appropriate for viewing by all ages. No lude, graphic, sexual, demoralizing, or slanderous posts will be accepted by this board. In other words, don't post anything you wouldn't want your children reading! The forums will be moderated for content but we expect our users to respect this simple rule.

Personal Information - Remember that as a public forum, items posted here will be available to other users and/or the general public. Do not post anything that you wouldn't be comfortable sharing with a complete stranger. NOTE:Registration information, unless otherwise stated, is not displayed on public pages and you have complete control over your profile, avatar, signature, etc.

Posting of Web-Sites - It is our current intention to allow users to post links to relevant, family-oriented websites, blogs, etc. While other forums may not allow you to post links to related forums (fear of competition we guess), our site is slightly different. Users may post links to other forums as long as they are related to the subject matter of issues discussed on CHIEFS-PLACE.COM and hopefully those forums may return the favor. Users may NOT post links to pornographic or other adult based sites and all urls posted on the forum are subject to review by site administrators and moderators.

Selling Merchandise In The Forum (By user) - While these types of posts are not to be expressly banned, we would recommend the use of our classified ads service for selling used gear, etc. It is also a free service and accomodates this function much more efficiently than the forum itself. Product Advertisements (By Site Administrator) - As a free service, CHIEFS-PLACE.COM does not charge for membership, however we do receive revenue for ad space and products sold in certain areas of the site. These products and/or services are provided from external merchants and CHIEFS-PLACE.COM acts only as an advertising tool for said merchants. Any questions about specific products and/or services should be directed to the individual merchant.

Moderators/Site Administrators - Chief's Place forum will be moderated by a select team of individuals who will use their discretion in reviewing posts, moving them to other threads, deleting them, etc. Moderators will not be allowed to remove members from the forum without prior approval of the site administrator. However, failure to comply with rules of the forum may result in termination of account as determined by the site administrator.

THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM AND WHILE WE MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT TO MODERATE THE DISCUSSIONS, CHIEFS-PLACE.COM ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR POSTS BY USERS, NOR DO WE ENDORSE OR SUPPORT THOSE POSTS. EVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE TO REMOVE OFFENSIVE POSTS IN A TIMELY MANNER, BUT MEMBERS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT AS A PUBLIC FORUM, THE POSSIBILITY OF OFFENSE MATERIAL BEING DISPLAYED DOES EXIST. PLEASE BRING TO OUR ATTENTION ANY POSTS WHICH MAY BE OF CONCERN.
